Welcome to Kisugu . . .

Welcome to Kisugu Baptist Church
Church can be anywhere, a large brick building, under a tree, in someone's home or in a small blue iron sheet building! Where two or three are gathered, HE IS THERE. Praise God for the believers in Kisugu who meet here every Sunday for Celebration Service. This service started in May, 2008, born from a house church that began in November, 2006. A night guard, named Moses, while going through discipleship training felt the need for others in his community to know and learn the gospel. Praise God for those early believers, like Moses and Esther, who wanted others in their community to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for praying for Kisugu, the church and those who live and minister in this community. As you walk through these "streets" may you feel God's leading and presence in the way you should pray for this area. May God bless you in your walk through Kisugu and may your life and the lives of those you pray for be forever and eternally changed. May all come to know and believe the greatness of our Lord, Jesus Christ!!

"Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory." 1 Timothy 3:16

The children, the future of Uganda . . .

"Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder thm, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

It is said that 50% of the population in Uganda is under the age of 15. With those statistics, the future of Uganda does rest with these children! Pray for these future leaders, young believers and ambassadors for Christ.

Pray that this country may not hinder them from learning, growing up strong and healthy and knowing the word of Jesus Christ. Many of these kids are helping to raise their younger siblings. Pray for these young boys and girls who have had to take on grown-up responsbillities. Pray that God will provide for them on a daily basis. May He provide people in their lives who will love them, encourage them and direct them in they way they should go, God's way!

"How beautiful are the feet . . ."

Meet Emmanuel Asobola, one of the pastors at Kisugu. Please pray for Emma as he balances the needs of his church and family. May he continue to seek guidance and direction from the only one who can make his path straight. Pray for good health for him and his family and for strength and encouargement in the face of many obstacles. Praise God that Pastor Emma continues to be one "of those who bring good news!"

Meet Pastor Benard Tumanye and his family. Benard and his wife have two sons and a daughter. Pray for the Tumanye family as he ministers in Kisugu and in his village outside of the city. Pray that God will provide good health, safe travels in and out of Kampala, and a peace and endurance that passes all understanding. Pray that Pastor Benard will seek God in all things and may he continue to seek to make Him known among those who so desperately need to know Christ.

"I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ." Philemon :6

Make a joyful noise . . .

UNTO THE LORD! Praise God for these women who so joyfully sing unto the Lord. No matter where you are or what circumstances you may be facing, GOD IS THERE and worthy of praise. Pray for these believers in Kisugu that even in the midst of struggle, poverty and disease, God is with them, cares for them, loves them and died for them!

"Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise." 1 Chronicles 16:23-25
